CONTENT

The Larpwriter Challenge is looking for games that challenge how individuals participate in society and how cultural differences, power and prejudice creates conflict, suppression and significant dilemmas for the characters. The goal of the games should be to enable the participants to reflect upon the issues raised in the game.

Please be aware that the games do not need to be overwhelmed by these topics, they can be one of several that the game touches upon. The goal of the competition is to create games which provokes reflection and learning.

  • The recommended number of players of the games should be in the range 5 - 25. The games should be flexible in terms of being playable by a different number of participants.
  • The game should be possible to organize within a small budget.
  • We encourage the inclusion of warm-up exercises and debrief methods in the manuscripts.
  • The game should have an expected duration of 2 - 6 hours (including participant preparation and debrief).

SUGGESTIONS TO GET STARTED
It is good if the games provoke reflection on questions such as:
  • How are opportunities different for men and women, and how can gender stereotypes show itself in different types of conflicts?
  • In which situations are human rights violated in everyday life and can anything be done to change this?
  • How do groups of people behave when making decisions about issues more far reaching than just personal problems?
  • How can more people become involved when decisions are made?
  • Experiences of belonging to a minority
  • Experiences of not having your voice heard
The deadline for submissions is the 30th of September.
